Not only did it win the 2016 World Performance Car award, but it has taken that distinction twice before, and another award for World Car Design of the Year. The Audi R8 contains a legacy of racing in its design and performance, with the R8 Coupe offering more performance than any other Audi production model. With its top specs equipped, the R8 Coupe can sprint from 0 to 62.1 mph in 3.2 seconds, clocking a maximum speed of 205.1 mph. With its racing pedigree and top-of-the-line performance power, it’s no wonder the 73 jurors for the World Car Awards saw fit to give it the 2016 World Performance Car award.
